Black Flag Kung Fu comes to the Somerset
Sifu Brendan Burnett from Taunton has recently returned from America after a v.i.p invitational to improve his skills in the art of Wing Chun. Brendan who passed the initial selection process travelled to the US to the Black Flag HQ in Virginia. After training assessments and formal interviews he was awarded the 1st UK instructor candidate and official UK representative for black flag kung fu.
Brendan who represents a world famous tai chi club is the Sifu of Kung Fu at United Dojos Ltd in Taunton; explained Black Flag is an ancestor of the now popular “Ip man” style of kung Fu. The black flag style is so special it has been kept secret for over 400 years. Master Lin moved to the US 6 years ago he is the first master to teach openly, making Brendan his first official disciple in Europe. Brendan went on to say this is a historical and unique treasure, experiencing kung Fu is amazing, physically mentally and spiritually, we are honoured that the UKs first official black flag association is in Somerset.
